PME Strategic
Professional Military Education (PME) is a core component of American democracy and U.S. National Security. PME Strategic strengthens that core through tailored guidance, coaching, expert instruction, and essential resources designed to maximize strategic leader development.
PME Strategic offers a well-balanced Civil-Military team. Larry D. Miller and Mark J. Eshelman combine forces with over 20 years each as United States Army War College (USAWC) faculty.

Larry D. Miller
Larry D. Miller served the USAWC as Director of Communicative Arts and instructor for both the Resident and Distance Education Programs. Larry was an original contributor to the successful Army Talent Management Task Force BCAP and CCAP initiatives. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan, two degrees from Kent State, and is a 2009 Graduate of the USAWC’s Distance Education Program.

Mark J. Eshelman
Colonel Mark J. Eshelman is a retired infantry officer with four operational deployments and experience as a Battalion Commander. An accomplished strategic leader, Mark served the USAWC as an instructor in both the Resident and Distance Education Programs. A West Point graduate, he holds multiple PME graduate degrees (DIA, CGSC, and SAMS) and is a 2001 Graduate of the USAWC’s Resident Education Program.
